Mustard Seed Tarot
& Intuitive Painting

My journey with tarot began in 2018 when I was facing a big decision about my career and marriage. I got this idea that I needed to draw a single tarot card and it would tell me what I needed to know. I went to a friend’s house and she handed me her Rider Waite deck. I drew the Six of Swords. It is an image of a boat crossing the river with precious cargo. So I moved to the edge of the Gasconade River and put the wheels in motion for a new life. The river has since come to be my most trusted confidant and muse, I have healed from addiction, and my art is thriving.

Mustard Seed Tarot is named after the Buddhist parable of the Mustard Seed (read the parable here at the top of page 27), in short … a mustard seed is the symbol of our shared compassion for suffering. My philosophy and tarot reading are influenced by the Zen tradition of humor, surprise, observation and peaceful intention. I use several decks for different purposes: Medicine Cards by Sams & Carson for winter solstice animal medicine, Wildwood Tarot for ancestor work, and the Kim Krans “Archetypes” deck for my Tarot (intuitive) Portraits.

Tarot is a time-honored tool of human psychology, it is the original therapist’s chair. We use the cards as a reflection tool for our life questions and concerns. The tarot journey and archetypes are passed down through the matriarchal lineage, and celebrate the intuitive and emotional aspects of our health. The cards help us to see things from a new paradigm, to remember that time is a cycle, to remind us of our blessings.

When I read your tarot, I also draw your portrait and include some of the important words, phrases, mantras that we discuss together … I call this a Tarot Portrait, or an Intuitive Portrait. My intuition is activated by seeing you, by your permission to be seen, and it is a great honor to be deep and vulnerable with folks. This kind of reading is unlike any other you’ve experienced.

I am available for private events, if you want to add a structured and special section of your celebration. IF you have your own deck, and video chat, I can do a Tarot Portrait with you as well.

Church of Nothing Sacred

“Church of Nothing Sacred” is the banner of my spiritual work. I currently deep focus on trance work. In my practice, I do not pursue enlightenment or manifestation, but rather allow those things to happen in their own time and space with their own will. That means no fortune telling, and no spell-casting. Instead, I focus on seeing things as they are. I am an observationalist, I seek to know what is. I use dance, pain, exhaustion, yoga, meditation, joy, nature, medicinal herbs and mushrooms, objects and ritual to enter various trance states. This often grants me a space to be free of past trauma, climate nihilism, ego insecurities, fear of the future or death and provides a space of profound acceptance and compassion. A place where the entire story is true. A place of peace and creative activation.

I teach meditation and host Mind Games, an immersive trance experience. I do private ritual and ceremony, perhaps one day that will endeavor to a publicly held ritual.
